A great summer recipe using seasonal strawberries. It can be used as a topping on pancakes or waffles or mixed in with yogurt.Print Recipe
- Sauce pan
- Mixing Spoon
- 3 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- 2 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
- In a medium sauce pan, add strawberries, water, lemon zest, and cinnamon.
- Bring to a low boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until a jam-like consistency is reached. Stir in lemon juice.
- Serve warm or store in refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Use as a topping on pancakes, French toast, or waffles. Or use as a yogurt mix in.
