Cooking Rice

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups brown rice
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp salt optional
  • 2 tbsp butter optional

Instructions

  • Wash hands with soap and water.
  • Add rice and water to pot. Add salt and butter, if desired. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat, cover tightly, and cook on low heat for 45-50 minutes, or until water is absorbed and rice is no longer chewy.
  • Fluff with a fork and serve. Enjoy!
