- 1.5 cups brown rice
- 3 cups water
- 1/2 tsp salt optional
- 2 tbsp butter optional
- Wash hands with soap and water.
- Add rice and water to pot. Add salt and butter, if desired. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover tightly, and cook on low heat for 45-50 minutes, or until water is absorbed and rice is no longer chewy.
- Fluff with a fork and serve. Enjoy!
