Fire Roasted Grapefruit

Sweet, tangy, and juicy, this winter treat will warm you up.

Ingredients

  • 1 Grapefruit can also use oranges, omit honey
  • ½ teaspoon dried mint optional
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Instructions

  • Wash hands before prepping food.
  • Cut the grapefruit in half.
  • Drizzle honey, then mint onto the grapefruit.
  • Put the two halves together and Wrap grapefruit in heavy foil.
  • Put the grapefruit into the hot coals of the campfire
  • Cook for 5-10 minutes, or until the grapefruit is golden
  • Remove, unwrap, and enjoy!

Notes

If you’re just coming in from the cold, you can also make this fun & tasty treat indoors. Follow the instructions but instead of using the campfire, use your oven’s “broiler” to brown the top of the grapefruit.
