Stovetop Stuffing

- 1 Large skillet
- 1 Baking sheet
- 1 Spatula
- 1 cutting board
- 1 Sharp knife
Ingredients
- 10 cups Whole wheat bread (Cubed and dried)
- ¼ cup Oil of choice
- 1 cup Onion (Diced)
- 1 cup Celery (Diced)
- 1 cup Carrot (Diced)
- 1 cup Mushroom (Diced)
- 2 cloves Garlic (Minced or 1 tsp of garlic powder)
- 2 cups Low-sodium Chicken Broth
- 2 tbsp Poultry seasoning (Rosemary, oregano, thyme, and sage)
Instructions
- Dry bread cubes in oven at 200℉ for 1 hour, or until completely dried out.
- Rinse all produce under clean water and prepare as listed.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil and bring to temperature. Then add diced onion, celery, carrot, mushroom, and garlic. Saute until soft.
- Add the seasonings and chicken broth, then stir to combine. Bring to a low simmer, then add the dried bread cubes and stir until fully combined (Do not over-stir so it does not become mushy).
- Remove the skillet from the burner. Put the lid on the skillet and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Remove the lid and serve warm.
