Equipment

  • Small bowl
  • Plate, Baking Sheet, or Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 12 Strawberries
  • 10 ounces Vanilla Greek Yogurt (Other types of yogurt can be substituted)
  • Red or Pink Food Coloring (Optional)

Instructions

  • Rinse and thoroughly dry the strawberries. No moisture should remain on the berries before dipping them in the yogurt.
  • Cover a large plate, baking sheet, or cutting board with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, pour in the yogurt. Holding onto the green leaves, dip each strawberry into the yogurt, swirling it to coat the berry, leaving a hint of red at the top.
  • Place each yogurt-dipped strawberry on the parchment paper. After dipping all the strawberries, place them in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Give the strawberries a second dip into the yogurt. (For an optional gradient effect, begin by dipping four berries in plain yogurt. Add a single drop of pink food coloring to the yogurt, stir until combined, and dip another four berries. Repeat this process with an additional drop of food coloring for the remaining four berries.)
  • Return the strawberries to the freezer for 40 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Retrieve the berries from the freezer just before serving, as the frozen yogurt tends to melt quickly. Enjoy!
