Don’t Just Sit There…

Any time you get up and move, you’re improving your chances for better health. But did you know that being sedentary- sitting a lot- can have the opposite effect. If you find yourself sitting too much, here is a simple way to start small:

  • Set a timer every hour. On your phone or even a kitchen timer, set an alarm to remind you to get up. Then, stand up and move for 2 to 5 minutes.
  • Make a habit of wearing comfortable shoes so you’ll be more likely to move when your timer goes off.
  • While you’re up every hour, drink water to stay hydrated.

The bottom line is, moving more will make you feel better in lots of ways.
