Ingredients

  • 3 apples
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon 
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  • Wash apples under cold water and dry with a clean towel. Core and slice apple to about the same thickness, about 1/2 inch.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, add water and apples. Bring to a slow simmer, then add cinnamon. Reduce heat and simmer with lid on until apples are soft, about 20 minutes.
  • Stir until most of the apples begin to mash into a thick, chunky sauce. Puree with a hand blender or mash with a fork. Enjoy warm or cold. Store in refrigerator for up to 4 days.
